Eiji Kusuhara
He came to England in 1972 with Tokyo Kid Brothers and performed at the Royal Court and Hampstead Theatre. In 1973 he joined Tsutomu Yamashita’s Red Buddha Theatre and went on tour in Europe and the USA. He moved to England in 1975 and appeared in numorous productions of Lumiere and Son including Tip Top Condition. He also worked for the RSC, Oxford Playhouse and Bristol Old Vic. He has appeared extensively for television and films including Tenko as a regular member. His film work includes Elephant Man (David Lynch), Eyes Wide Shut (Stanley Kubrick) and Topsy-Turvy (Mike Leigh). His latest stage work was Yellow Earth Theatre’s Festival for the Fish.
