She trained as an actress in both Japan (Furano Juku) and the UK (LAMDA One Year PG Acting Course and RADA Short Courses). In Japan she has extensive experience in theatre, film and television including Furano Juku Company and Hematite Theatre, Adieu L’Hiver (Japan Herald Film), Crying River (TBS Tokyo) and Video Letter (NHK Tokyo). She received a scholarship from the Japanese government in 1997 for research on acting in the UK. In Europe she worked for theatre-rites (two national tours in the UK and Japan), Theatre du Cygne (ICA London and Greece), Felice…Felice… (Rotterdam Film Festival and London Film Festival), Shoreditch Tale (Channel 4) and Sensitive Skin (BBC). At RADA she has worked as Assistant Director to William Gaskill, Peter Oyston and Nicholas Barter.
